Almond Cream or Frangipane is the filling found in almond croissants. It is very versatile and can be added to a great number if dishes. Due to the flour, the almond cream bakes to a light crumbly consistency.
Makes just over a cup

tbsp unsalted butter1/2
cup almond flour, or slithered almonds, finely ground1/3
cup sugar1/4
cup flour1
egg
Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well combined. Use as directed.
